Recently there was an election. You may have heard about it... Anyway, there was a push for anti-gay marriage laws across the country. One of these fine states to pass such a law was Utah. It was called Amendment 3 or as I have dubbed it, the "We Hate You" law.
Utah already had provisions in it's state constitution that banned gay marriage. In fact it already had provisions that defined marriage strictly between a man and a woman. So why was this Amendment passed? And what did it do other that define marriage again?
Well, my friends, pull up a chair.
Amendment 3 disallows all forms of civil unions.

Because of the recent infatuation of middle class white men with gay marriage, he, having a constant need to compensate for his small dick and secret sexual lustings for butt sex, has crapped on anyone else's supposed "feelings" effectively marking his territory and making his dominance known.
Utahns felt the need to reaffirm their supposed heterosexualness by pissing in the face of all who may think different about love.
If two men can get together and have the same health care benefits and tax breaks that normal married couples consisting of man and woman, then it logically follows that anything goes! Pedophilia, Beastiality, Transvestites, Shit, Puke, Piss. And lest we forget, LESBIANS!
Well, actually, lesbians are different, right? I mean two guys together are gross but two chicks?! That's fine. Oh, and we can still have three/four/fivesomes in our (notice the careful wording of the amendment here that does not specify ONE man or ONE woman....Polygamy is still fine under this law. Party On!) polygamy houses. That's fine, just as long as there is only one penis.
